Terry W. Posey is a graduate of the University of Dayton and The Capital University Law School. He is a member of the Dayton, Ohio State and American Bar Associations

He is licensed to practice in the Ohio Supreme Court, as well as all courts and agencies in Ohio, the United States District Court in the Southern District of Ohio and the United States Supreme Court.

He is a retired Sergeant of the Dayton Ohio Police Department, and has been practicing law since that time. During his career as a police officer, he was awarded the Medal of Valor, the highest award given to a living police officer, the Award of Merit and many commendations. He was the Ohio F.O.P. Member of the Year in 1987 and was runner-up National Member of the Year during the same year. He was Editor of the Ohio Police magazine for four years and was Chairman of the Board of the Ohio F.O.P. Labor Council.

Mr. Posey is an active member of many fraternal organizations, including the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #44; John W. Durst #716 F. & A.M (Past Master); Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite (33rd Degree and past presiding officer); all York Rite bodies and Antioch Shrine A.A.O.N.M.S.   Mr. Posey was the Grand Master (2009-2010) of the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons in Ohio.  He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Ohio Masonic Homes.

He represents individuals and many labor organizations, and practices general law including, but not limited to, Family Law (Divorce/Dissolution/Custody/Child Support), Civil Service law, Criminal Defense/Traffic Cases including DUI, and Personal Injury, as well as Wrongful Death cases.  He has tried numerous cases before the various courts in Ohio, as well as administrative and state agencies and arbitrators from the American Arbitration Association.

The Law Offices, located at Courthouse Plaza S.W., 10 North Ludlow Street, represents many unions and organizations in the area.
